New Paine story posted

(Meeting in the Market)

Another pre-Yuna Gullwings story. Written (using, yes, pen and paper) while flying back from Boston last night. One of the quickest complete stories I've ever written -- the first draft, which is not that different from the last, was finished in under an hour.

Enjoy!

Oh... very nice. They're both very IC, Rikku bubbly and Paine already put out with her bubbliness. Though the fact her thief sphere was stolen by a thief really has to hurt Rikku. *loves puns, wit, irony and humor of all sorts*

*friends*

I believe we have a mutual friend in [livejournal.com profile] cupcakemonster

Thanks! The "god you're annoying but I love you anyway" big-little sister vibe between Paine and Rikku is fun to play with.

And yes, I believe you're right! :)

heh... yeah it is... there's that same type of thing going between Paine and Gippal as in a little brother big sister thing cause Paine is older than Gippal. (why do my fave characters have to be the YOUNGEST of the lot) and good philosophical question. Why do both Rikku and Gippal call Paine, Dr. P if they haven't SEEN each other in a few years?

...

Yes. I say we SKIP this mutual friend business and be friends ourselves. Saves time. *whispers* I live in SF too, but right now I'm on the east coast. Le Sigh.

and the irony of talking about mutual friends when your story mentions them. *shifty eyes* :D

I have friended you back already, so I agree. ;)

Hm. Common Al Bhed nickname for older sibling with an air of superiority? That's my off-the-cuff vote, anyway.
