New chapter

The lastest chapter of DSHnD is now posted, a day behind schedule. I'm sure you were all desperately wondering where it was. ;) As always, all readers and reviewers welcome.

Barring catastrophe, the next chapter will be posted on Wednesday as per usual. No chance of that one slipping; it's already written, and has been for at least two months.

BTW, there are spoilers for the chapter in comments. You have been warned. ;)

SShhhh! Everybody is supposed to have the idea we sweat out these things at the last minute and are courting brain-fever in our effort not to disappoint our hordes of fans. Don't give all our secrets away! ;)

Well until Wednsday I am going to be mourning for Beclem ;) Why did you have to kill him??

Because this is a story about a war, and during wars, people die. Our protagonists have gotten off very lightly so far and we decided that needed to change.

It's not because of any particular malice toward Beclem. Part of me is sorry to see him go, there is more we could have done with him, but fate dealt him the short straw, and sometimes life (fictional or otherwise) is like that.
