earthquake!

A pretty significant one, down east of San Jose. A long one, too, long enough for us to think about whether we needed to find cover. Mostly we heard it; something was rattling, I think maybe the doors to the water heater closet.

So just another day in California. The cats sure didn't like it, though.

I cannot decide which is worse - earthquakes or tornadoes. It seems as though this continent is rife with terrible weather risks. Europe somehow appears to be less perilous (in so many ways). I think we have it wrong about the 'blessed by g-d' thing. Still, we are glad you and T are safe, the cats too.
