So, my computer's audio runs through my stereo (I finally got that hooked up, which astounds me the things I hear now when I listen to my music - the speakers I had before were the "Default" speakers that came with my first PC 7 years ago, so yeah). Anyway, while listening to you talk about how you "script" phone calls, I was equally fascinated by what you said, and how your voice registered on the stereo's equalizer. Bouncing coloured lines are fun. (In case you were curious, the two far-left lines almost never moved. Your voice trends to the center and within three to the right of it - my equalizer has 9 lines.)

I think working in customer service has driven me to script things even more than normal. I repeat the same information over and over all day. But even as a child, I would tell stories in my head and script encounters. I am not too proud to admit that in my head, I construct little scenes and stories in which I am the sparkliest Mary Sue awesome ever to exist and I totally do save the world and am a bad-ass. (Perhaps scripting these in my head keeps me from inflicting them on the world of fandom and literature generally?)

Hee. And perhaps the world is grateful! :D But I suppose we'll never know....

That is interesting, how my voice registers on an equalizer. I guess i could see that for myself if I downloaded the files and played them in iTunes or something. I'm not surprised it's on the low side, though -- I am an alto, so my speaking voice is kind of low, and also I don't think phones pick up tones in the higher registers so well.
