Happy December

So for the second year in a row, I succeeded in posting every day during the month of November. I probably wrote on about half the substantial topics I would have liked to cover, which is a pretty decent hit rate. Hopefully I'll get to the others in the future. I did end up depending on memes more than I planned, but they weren't so much "memes" as "writing topics suggested by other people", so I don't think that's cheating.

Not as much fic as I would have liked, although I did work on polishing and finishing some older stuff behind the scenes. Maybe some month I'll focus on that kind of writing, rather than blogging -- post one new story every week? Something like that. I do like the blog writing though; it gets me to think about what's going on in my life and in the world at large, forces me to put my thoughts together in some coherent form, which I think is useful even if I don't write it down.

Will I continue to try and post every day, even though I haven't made a specific commitment to do so? Maybe. At the very least, I intend to write my thoughts rather than not write them.

Congrats to everyone who set themselves a writing challenge this month and succeeded, especially to ovo_lexa and regann for completing NaNo!!
