Home sick from work today. Stupid late-summer colds. Anyway, once I finally settled in after a conference call I decided I couldn't miss, I had a nice lazy time on the couch with my Friends DVDs and not one but two cats in petting distance. I have, in fact, spent most of the afternoon skritching Lexi's belly. He wandered away a few minutes back, but Tori is still here. Now I'm off to see if I can't poke at more prompts on this year's Trick or Treat ficlet meme.

Not a bad way to spend a day. If it weren't for the whole "being sick" part, anyway.

We are fighting off colds over here too, except not being in California we call them "mid-autumn colds". ;)

One thing I will say about living in California, our seasons are seriously out of whack. We have winter while the rest of you are having summer, and then we get our summer during the fall (although it was overcast and chilly this weekend, not summer-like at all, unless by "summer" you mean "August in San Francisco"). It's almost like living in the Southern Hemisphere.

Aw, thanks! :) I appreciate the thought, even if in the end you can't beat any of the prompts into submission. Maybe look at it as a chance to work on something outside your usual comfort zone? That's what I often do with these fic battle games. (And the comfort zone meme, which I fully intend to get back to next month.)
