La la la

Is it cheating if I start writing a post two minutes before midnight?

So I have almost survived my concert week. The first show was tonight, and it went pretty well -- we muffed a few bits in the fifth movement, but that's the advantage of performing a world premiere: you can guarantee that no one in the audience knows how it's supposed to go. The soprano soloist is marvelous, one of the best we've ever had. Excellent range, good tone all the way up and down, and a perfect sound for this piece.

But boy am I tired. For some reason the week of opening shifts has taken a harder toll on me than usual. Between that and the dress rehearsals going later than usual, I really feel like I'm burning the candle at both ends. So please forgive me if my posting is inadequate to my usual high standards for NaBloWriMo -- I will get back on the horse of real writing next week.

I don't see how it can be cheating, and I'm impressed that it took you under 60 seconds to POST.

I take 10 minutes just to play with tags and pick out a title and LJ icon.

We had our opening night last night as well. Soloists were great, everything was great, and then I missed the bus home and had to crash at somebody's house. >.
