I haven't really been following the story too closely but this was a good article. I do feel badly for the victim. I can understand that she doesn't want the attention, but I do think he should be punished for his crime.

Yeah, I agree. I feel for her, and in her shoes I probably would just want it forgotten, too. But it's not about her; it's about sending the message to society that it's not okay to rape 13-year-old girls (or anyone else, for that matter), and being rich and connected enough to flee the country doesn't *make* it okay.
