But ONTD has always been an LJ community. I don't get this at all.

Looking at this link (http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/45551046.html), it looks like LJ realized ONTD is like 87% of its traffic and decided to upgrade it to a special site within LJ, with its mods being part of the LJ team. Or something.
