Still mulling the rough spots of 22. Might get it up today or tomorrow, might not. At least I can promise that 23 will follow very shortly afterwards, since it's all written and more polished than 22.
This writing thing is a sickness. I was out of town last weekend, away from my computer and with several good books along. So what did I find myself doing on the plane on the way across country on Thursday afternoon? Writing. With a pen and paper. The last time I seriously wrote more than a postcard longhand was in college: a paper for Greek Literature in Translation, written one evening when I was running short on time and all of the machines in the computer center were booked.
But when you don't own a laptop and inspiration strikes, you make do with what you have. This was something new. It's still in the early stages, so I can't be sure, but I think it's a long one-shot prequel to Chasing My Past. I got most of the first draft done on the plane, then wrote the second draft in time snatched before going to sleep each night. Then on the flight back, I drafted a segment of AGL 24. Seriously, I can't stay away from it. It's been a long time since I've been this addicted to something.
At least I got some of the books read -- a very cool new book about why consuming pop culture (including playing video games!) makes us smarter, and the first book of Melanie Rawn's first dragon triology (I'm about 2/3rds of the way through it). Both highly recommended.
