If you have never been in a cast or bound up in another restraining device, I think this is true.

As irritating as all this was, having my leg in a cast was worse. So much worse. I'd rather be immobilized for another month than go through that again.

There's that. Also, crutches are seriously uncomfortable. And you have to cover the whole thing with a bag when you take a shower. The real problem is not being able to take the damn thing off. At least I could remove the immobilizer and be free of it for awhile. A cast is your constant companion for weeks. Ugh ugh ugh. I really hope I never need one again.

Oooh no. Lockjaw is real. And it's ugly. Don't get tetnus. Casts are better.

How is lock jaw ugly? Surely it's just when your jaw locks itself... doesn't sound too ugly to me. Very frustrating of course but ugly?

Lockjaw is tetanus. It is supposed to be a very unpleasant way to die. More.
