Busy Busy

Two new temp jobs, Giants in the playoffs, out of town friends visiting, chorus starting again, various DOINK! mod projects, getting more involved in Dominance battles in Flight Rising. Lots going on. Keeps me on my toes.

Hey, speaking of Flight Rising, there's a registration window coming very soon! It opens tomorrow at 5:30pmAM, Pacific Time, and lasts for 24 hours. If you're interested in breeding and playing with pretty pretty dragons, come join! Tell them owlmoose sent you. :) Then tell me, and I'll give you a dragon, and some other cool stuff. :D

And then, on top of all this, I'm leaving for a week in Hawaii on Thursday. Two days in Oahu, and then five days on the Big Island with a bunch of friends to celebrate S's birthday. Which is exciting, but it feels like there's still lots to do between now and then. Not complaining, though. Not even a little bit.

Sometimes, life does not suck.

On the Flight Rising front, I just joined a day or so ago (although someone else had already claimed "sent here by" privileges), and have just now sent you a friend request! I'm Ysabet there, and very, very slowly figuring things out there, between having a friend visiting and having my ridiculous working hours. ^^;

Is this your first trip to Hawai'i? I've been twice (the Big Island both times), and I love it unreasonably. I keep telling people that the best part of having gotten married there (which I wasn't planning to do when we went!) is that it gives me and my husband an excuse to go back periodically for anniversaries and stuff, although we didn't go this year for our tenth anniversary and have no set plans for going again in the foreseeable future.

Whether it's your first trip or you've been tons of times, I hope you have an amazing time! Hawai'i! *^^*

I've been to Hawaii once before, also to the Big Island. I love it too, and I'm really looking forward to getting back. :) This trip, mostly on the Big Island again, is for a friend's 40th birthday (she's been talking about it for years), and the folks I'm going with are much more activity-oriented. More boating, snorkling, caving, and less just driving around and hanging out on beaches. Also we're going to Oahu for a couple of days -- T's best friend from college lives in Honolulu, so we're going to see him and get to Pearl Harbor, and maybe a few of the nice beaches. I'm really excited! Thanks for the good wishes. :)

Both times I've been, we've stayed with my husband's parents (they tend to go away to warm places for entire winters, which is lovely if one can swing it!), and since they've actually spent a couple of full years there (years and years apart--one was when my husband was a teenager), they know it really well. So my mother-in-law has shown us all kinds of lovely spots and good hiking and places off the beaten paths (insofar as the Big Island has beaten paths).

Ahhhh, now I really want to go back. Sometime! ^_^
