the beauty of no

Every proposition on the CA statewide ballot failed yesterday. Every. single. one. All those little red Ns. So satisfying. I could look at them all day.

So much for the Governator and his proclamations about the will of the people. The people have spoken, and they said no.

I thought of you last night as I watched the early returns from California. Congratulations to all you good people. Is there still a hard-on for amending the Constitution so Ahrnuld can run for President? LOL

Meanwhile, the clock creeps inexorably backwards in Texas and Kansas.

I was listening to the BBC this morning and they were talking avout how the democratic candidates had won the NJ and VA governor's races and the NYC mayor's race... they corrected themselves a little later in the broadcast.

That said- I voted for a Republican! eek!
but the best man for the job, which is realy the point in the end.

Oh, I'm so glad the Ahnold honeymoon is officially over. If only there had never been one in the first place!

I just remember reading all the quotes from people around recall time who were like, "I'm a Democrat, but I want Arnold because he's gonna clean up this state, man! He's the Terminator!" And I was like, oh you silly people. Don't you know he's going to be just like all the others?

Ahnold prevented from voting...

And to add insult to injury, the voting machine didn't let Ahnold vote (http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-110805arnold_lat,0,7268769.story?coll=la-home-headlines)

Over here there has been little news of the Governator's work -- saw a report yesterday and was horrified by it all -- so surreal. yay democracy!!!!

The will of the people was that Arnold not waste our money (that could be used for, oh, I don't know, something completely unnecessary like schools or hospitals) on a special election just to satisfy his ego.

Still pissed about the wasted money, though.
