Every proposition on the CA statewide ballot failed yesterday. Every. single. one. All those little red Ns. So satisfying. I could look at them all day.

Maybe they are. Of course it's easy for them to be confident in such a blue state. I often have the emotional) feeling that if only the national Dems would be brave and tell it like it was, everybody would rally to them - sort of the "Howard Dean approach". But logically I fear it's just not true, unless you get someone really charismatic.
He is ripe for toppling. If only the Dems had someone exciting to run against him.

I think that people are so upset with Bush and so hungry for real leadership that this might well work. Even if we didn't get someone super charismatic to lead the way. The problem is finding some Democrats with the guts to do it. They've gotten so used to cringing. But no one ever responded to the "please don't hurt us" school of leadership.
