Tumblr??

The Tumblr iOS app was removed from Apple's App Store for insufficient filtering of child pornography, and Tumblr deleted a bunch of accounts in response.

I suppose it was only a matter of time until Tumblr had its own Strikethrough moment. There are a few rumblings about mass exodus, although I'm not sure where everyone would go. I wonder if the days of one platform for all of fandom are truly behind us now. Given that I'm barely ever on Tumblr myself these days, I don't even really know what the mood is over there. Anyone know?

Regardless, if you've given up on Tumblr and have chosen DW as your new home, welcome. I'm happy to have you here.

I don't follow muccamukk, but I did see that thread linked somewhere. I agree, it's a good catch-up, although I'm still curious about how my old Tumblr buddies are feeling. When I've dropped briefly in on my dash, I've only seen vague mentions of it -- seems like a lot of business as usual.

Anything is possible, although I understand they had some poorly-timed downtime just as all this was starting to go down. I have a Pillowfort account, but as far as I know my friends and communities haven't really made the switch, so for now I'm just name squatting. Like others, I have concerns about their sustainability. So I'm in wait-and-see mode with them.
