Meme!
I miss memes. And given how many folks are relatively new around here, this seems like a good time for one. Ganked from
oracne.
1. Do you like bleu cheese? Nope, can't stand it.
2. Coke or Pepsi? Coke, though I much prefer it made with cane sugar over corn syrup.
3. Do you own a gun? Never
4. Whiskey, Tequila, Vodka? I don't care for tequila and really dislike whiskey, and I can't do vodka straight (or any other hard liquor, for that matter), but I quite like it as a mixer. My first love is rum, though.
5. Hot dogs or Cheeseburgers? I'll happily eat either, but if I'm choosing I'll pick a cheeseburger.
6. Favorite Type Of Food? Pizza
7. Do you believe in ghosts? Not really, but nor do I expect I know everything about the universe.
8. What do you drink in the morning? Coffee. If I'm eating at home I make a single cup with my French press, but if I'm going out I'll usually get a latte.
9. Can you do 100 Pushups? Not remotely
10. Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall? Summer for sure
11. Favorite hobby? Singing
12. Tattoos? None.
13. Do you wear glasses? I got my first pair of glasses when I was 6 and switched to contacts when I was 16. For the last year or so I've been wearing computer and/or reading glasses over the contacts sometimes. I'm sure progressives are in my future eventually but I'm not quite there yet.
14. Phobia? Heights, specifically falling. I'm also not too fond of deep water and creepy crawly things.
15. Nickname? I suppose KJ counts as a nickname.
16. Three drinks you drink? Coffee, sparkling water, most anything fruity with an umbrella in it
17. Biggest downfall: Laziness
18. Rain or Snow? Rain. I live in California for a reason.
19. Piercings? Two in each ear, although the upper holes are all but closed now.
20. Age? 46
21. Taken or Single? I hate the term "taken" in this context, but I've been married for 15 years, and we've been involved for over twenty.
22. Will 5 Friends Do This And Tag you? I've given up on even guessing with these. :)
23. Kids? No children, by choice
24. Favorite color? Blue, especially the blues that are more toward green or more toward purple.
25. Employed? Yes. I've been with the same company for four and a half years. It started out as a short-term job that never officially became long term -- we just kept finding more stuff for me to do. But I am starting to seriously think about changing to a more permanent status (largely for the health insurance, although I do like the organization and the work I do).
26. Can you whistle? Yes
27. Where were you born? Ohio
28. Brothers or sisters? Two brothers, both younger
29. Ever Been Arrested? Nope, unless speeding tickets count
30. Surgeries? I had a hernia operation when I was 2, which fortunately I only barely remember. I also had all four wisdom teeth out.
31. Religion? Raised United Methodist, now agnostic
32. Shower or Bath? Shower, although I wish a had a bathtub deep enough to occasionally take a soak.
33. Like to gamble? Not particularly
34. Are you loyal? I like to think so
35. Broken bones? A few: a green break of my right forearm when I was in 6th grade, caused by a three legged race; a broken toe from a car accident; the tip of my left middle finger while snorkeling in Hawaii. But my most dramatic injury along these lines was actually a dislocated shoulder in college. None of the bones broke, technically, but I feel like it counts.
36. How many tv's in your house? Just one, although I watch a lot of video on my iPad.
37. Worst pain ever? The dislocated shoulder, no contest. That's my benchmark for pain, and I hope I never cross it.
38. Do you like to dance? More so when I was younger.
39. Are your parents still alive? Yes, and doing generally well so far
40. Do you like camping? I grew up with camping, but as an adult it's not my favorite. I like being out in nature sometimes, but at the end of the day I want a real bed to sleep in. The recent houseboating trip is about the closest I come to that these days.
