What do we have today?

More lines.

Rain. Buckets of it.

Career fair -- why did I agree to lead the session on resume writing again? Eek.

More congestion. I wish I knew whether this was the same old cold or a new one, or even my allergies acting up (although allergies shouldn't swamp my chest like this), because then I would know whether I ought to bite the bullet and go to the doctor.

Cats. Chasing each other around the apartment. I wish I could bring them to the career fair. That would liven things up.

x

I have no standing to interfere in your personal affairs, however, as your friend, I feel this cold has continued far too long. I beseech you to consider consulting your physician because you are a valuable member of our species and there are not many I call that. Whether it is a re-run of the original cold or a new production, you are being worn down by this and need to find relief. (Sermon over.)

I think the colds are bad this year. Everyone I know who has goten sick has stayed sick for quite a while. Still, you might want to go see a doctor, even if we will just tell you that it's a cold.

Also, I know you don't like menthol, but it works :). I would definitely suggest some vick's vaporub at night.

If it's worse than you're used to I think you probably should go to the doctor. I've had times where I just think I have a bad cold and I go to the doctor eventually and it turns out to be an ear infection or something >:(

I'm sorry you're still sick! If you have serious chest congestion, are coughing up things that are interesting colors, or are running a fever, then, yeah, it's worth seeing a doc in case it's a bacterial infection that will respond to antibiotics. But any viral infection they'll tell you rest & fluids, and tylenol or ibuprofen for any aches. You already know that.

I'm on my second cold of the winter, and it's very much a chest cold, so we might have the same thing. It finally seems to be fading after hanging on for over a week, but I'm still coughing up gunk regularly & have yet to feel 100%. My first cold was a head cold. I had about a week of feeling healthy in between them. (Yesterday I informed my body that it is out of sick days, and so can't get sick again for the next several months).
