want some cat pictures?

Cats on the bed. They are definitely getting more comfortable up there. Lexi actually settled down on my chest and purred for a little while this morning. That's a big step for him. I would rather it hadn't been at 6 AM, but oh well.

The rest are in the gallery.

Tomorrow is the three-month anniversary of Kitten Day. I can't quite believe what a short time it's been.

I think Temperence probably covers it. "Temperance is moderation of needed things and abstinence from things which are not needed." Since these folks would likely say that sex is not needed... ;)

There's also the Seven Contrary Virutes, which does include Chastity (twice! if you think of Abstinence as a synonym): Humility, Kindness, Abstinence, Chastity, Patience, Liberality, and Diligence. So maybe that's the list they work from. Although I don't see a whole lot of humility or kindess from that crew, so maybe not.

I am willing to bet they do count it twice. One for don't do it; two of don't even think about doing it. I never heard of Contrary Virtues. Are those the ones we are supposed to avoid?

It does sound like that, doesn't it? :) No, those are the virtues that are set up in exact opposition to the deadly sins. (Chastity vs. Lust, Abstinence vs. Gluttony, etc.) The heavenly virtues are the ones that are just good in and of themselves. Or something like that.

More than you could ever possibly want to know.
