a. Paine was immediately my favorite character in the game. I like her no-nonsense attitude, toughness, and dry wit. Also, I was intrigued because she was the only main character who was a mystery. We know the deal with Yuna and Rikku; what's the deal with Paine? Even the first time through, I played with a careful eye on her backstory, trying to figure her out.
b. Her loyalty.
c. Her temper, and the way she closes herself off from the people that care about her.
d. Almost always very easy. She's the character who comes most naturally to me, and the character I'm most likely to write in the first person.
e. Hmm, that's a hard one. Nothing comes to mind right away. I guess, if I had to pick any single fic it would probably be "Darkness, Dawn" -- it's a snapshot of her present and her past and I think I got her character pretty nicely.
f. I'm sure I'll keep writing Paine for awhile, although I don't have specific stories featuring her planned at present. There's still the
