a. Paine was immediately my favorite character in the game. I like her no-nonsense attitude, toughness, and dry wit. Also, I was intrigued because she was the only main character who was a mystery. We know the deal with Yuna and Rikku; what's the deal with Paine? Even the first time through, I played with a careful eye on her backstory, trying to figure her out.
b. Her loyalty.
c. Her temper, and the way she closes herself off from the people that care about her.
d. Almost always very easy. She's the character who comes most naturally to me, and the character I'm most likely to write in the first person.
e. Hmm, that's a hard one. Nothing comes to mind right away. I guess, if I had to pick any single fic it would probably be "Darkness, Dawn" -- it's a snapshot of her present and her past and I think I got her character pretty nicely.
f. I'm sure I'll keep writing Paine for awhile, although I don't have specific stories featuring her planned at present. There's still the

b. His devotion.
c. His stubbornness, which sometimes leads to a lack of empathy.
d. Fairly easily. Sometimes when I haven't written him in awhile it takes a few drafts before I can really get into his head.
e. I admit to being fond of the Zanarkand chapters (first pilgrimage) in "A Guardian's Legacy" in this respect. As far as shorts go, I think I'd choose "Lost Love".
f. Lately, I've only written Auron for challenge and requests, and I expect that will continue unless I get bunnied really hard for something. I've written two novel-length fics about the character, one of which was basically his biography, and so in way I feel like I really don't have much left to say about him.

b. His cleverness.
c. Ambition ambition ambition.
d. Not too difficult. It takes me a little while to settle into his mindset, but once I do it comes pretty easily.
e. "Choices". Hands down.
f. As with Auron, I don't have many Kinoc bunnies anymore, but I enjoy writing him for challenges and to requests. So I'm sure those will continue.
