Whenever I complain about how cold I am, here in the Bay Area, where I know intellectually that it's not "really" cold, this is what I'm talking about.
We got that in Iowa, too -- the "January thaw". Although it usually got warmer than that, and we'd start having delusions about an early spring. It never came through, though, and more often than not we'd have a blizzard come Easter...
