2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Tyrion
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Brienne
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Sansa, for moderate values of "love" -- I know she is greatly despised by many, and I agree that she made her own bed, but the punishment has far outpaced her crime by now.
5. The character I would shag anytime: I want to answer Jon, but then I remember how young he is. So I'm actually not sure.
6. The character I'd want to be like: Daenerys

8. A pairing that I love: Dany/Jon (is predictable)

11. What are my five favorite things about the fandom. I've never really been part of the fandom -- I just watch
12. What are my five least favorite things about the fandom. Long waits between books, and the impatient fans who get obnoxious about the long waits between books.

14. Who are my five least favorite characters: Cersi, Catelyn, Joffrey, Stannis, Theon
15. What are my five favorite pairings. Dany/Jon, Renly/Loras, Arya/The Hound (not romantically, I just enjoy them as a duo)

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Edge. His attitude problem really grated on me at first, but I learned to appreciate him.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Kain. This may come from having not seen the ending yet, but as far as I can tell, he has yet to actually learn anything from his misadventures.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Maybe Edward? I suspect he's far less useless as a player character in the DS version than he may have been in earlier versions.
5. The character I would shag anytime: Probably Edge.
6. The character I'd want to be like: Rydia, definitely
7. The character I'd slap: Tellah. I know he learns his lesson about single-minded revenge, but still.
8. A pairing that I love: Rydia/Edge
9. A pairing that I despise: Despise is a little strong, but Palom/Porom definitely hits my squick buttons.
10. Favorite character: Probably Rydia, although I do like Edge and Cecil a lot.
11. What are my five favorite things about the fandom. I've only been observing it from the outskirts, but you seem like a thoughtful and friendly bunch. And very active, especially for the small size.
12. What are my five least favorite things about the fandom. Not enough a part of it to really say.
13. Who are my five favorite characters. Rydia, Edge, Cecil, Yang, Yang's wife.
14. Who are my five least favorite characters. None, really, although I could do without Anna as woman in refrigerator. But that's the game's fault, not hers.
15. What are my five favorite pairings. Edge/Rydia, Cecil/Rosa, Cecil/Rydia, Cecil/Kain (I sense a theme)
16. What are my five least favorite pairings. None, really, except twincest as above.
17. Which character are you most like. Rosa, I think. In both the good ways and the bad ways.
18. What is my deep, dark fandom secret. I haven't finished the game -- I'm stuck on the final battle. And as of now, I'm not motivated enough to get butch enough to win, even though I do really want to see the ending.

1. The first character I fell in love with: Balthier. (Me and everyone else, I know.)
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Ashe -- she took awhile to grow on me.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Not sure... I like pretty much all the main cast.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Vaan! What can I say, I genuinely like the kid. He seems very real to me.
5. The character I would shag anytime: Balthier (continues to be predictable)

9. A pairing that I despise: Larsa/Vayne. I've probably mentioned before that this pairing hits pretty much every squick I have. Stay far, far away.

11. What are my five favorite things about the fandom. Good variety of fanworks -- it doesn't feel like it's settled down to a handful of cliches.
12. What are my five least favorite things about the fandom. It hasn't felt very welcoming to me, but that's probably as much my fault for not jumping in feet-first at the beginning as anything.
13. Who are my five favorite characters. Balthier, Ashe, Larsa, Basch, Al-Cid

I know the feeling, and I haven't even beaten it the first time yet. >.> There's a lot of very complex fic in this fandom, and you're right, it can be a little hard to feel comfortable.

1. The first character I fell in love with: Auron
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Nooj. I always liked him, from the first time I played the game, but spending so much time with him in my writing has really cemented my love for him.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Rikku. I like Rikku, I do. More in FFX than in X-2, but even then I still liked her well enough. But she gets so much of the focus in the wider fandom that I burned out on her. Less so now than a couple of years ago, though.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Beclem. Even before I started Aftermath, although of course writing Aftermath helped.
5. The character I would shag anytime: Auron, Baralai, Nooj.
6. The character I'd want to be like: Lulu.
7. The character I'd slap: Brother.
8. A pairing that I love: Um, let's see, there must be one around here someplace...
9. A pairing that I despise: Auron/Rikku. I've tl; dr'd about this one before, so let's just leave it there.
10. Favorite character: Auron and Paine. Please don't make me choose between them.
11. What are my five favorite things about the fandom. 1) I have met some extremely awesome people. 2) Even after many years with no new canon, people are still coming up with good stories and fascinating ideas. 3) FFX is still my favorite game ever. 4) The fact that I'm still winning converts to Paine/Nooj. 5) So much potential backstory to explore, in both the people and the world.
12. What are my five least favorite things about the fandom. 1) Despite all that potential backstory to explore, a huge percentage of the fics are about the same three pairings. 2) Lack of recent participation -- it's been seriously quiet lately, with many of the regulars drifting away and not much new blood. 3) So few fanworks for my OTP, despite all those converts. 4) All the hate for X-2. 5) There is no number 5.
13. Who are my five favorite characters. Auron, Paine, Nooj, Baralai, Lulu. This list could be much longer.
14. Who are my five least favorite characters. Brother, Leblanc, Seymour, Tobli, I can't think of a fifth
15. What are my five favorite pairings. Paine/Nooj, Baralai/Yuna, Tidus/Yuna, Wakka/Rikku, Auron/Braska/Jecht (although I prefer that grouping to tend more towards the gen)
16. What are my five least favorite pairings. Auron/Rikku, Lulu/Wakka, Auron/Tidus, Seymour/Tidus, Nooj/Leblanc
17. Which character are you most like. Probably Yuna.
18. What is my deep, dark fandom secret. I am not entirely on board with Gippal/Baralai. There are things I like about it, and ways in which I like them better as close friends. But that might just be my natural resistance to pairings talking.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Damar. They did such beautiful character development on him.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Does everyone love Quark? Anyway, he never did much for me.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Is there a character everyone hates? There's so many love-to-hate characters - Dukat, Weyoun, Kai Wynn, and I love them all, but I'm not sure that counts.
5. The character I would shag anytime: The Sisko
6. The character I'd want to be like: Jadzia Dax
7. The character I'd slap: Quark. Many times. Then again for good measure.
8. A pairing that I love: Worf/Jadzia Dax (*not* Ezri)
9. A pairing that I despise: Odo/Kira. Despise is maybe too strong a word, and I actually really liked it when Odo loved her from a distance, but I never bought her falling in love with him.
10. Favorite character: Garak
11. What are my five favorite things about the fandom. This is my favorite TV show of all time. No exaggeration. I've never really been in the fandom, though.
12. What are my five least favorite things about the fandom. That it's over. :(
13. Who are my five favorite characters. Garak, Sisko, Bashier, Jadzia Dax, Kira, Worf
14. Who are my five least favorite characters. Quark, the Grand Nagus, Ezri Dax... and I'm out.
15. What are my five favorite pairings. Worf/Jadzia, Sisko/Kassidy, Bashier/Jadzia, Bashier/Garak, Ezri/Jake. Honorable mention: Kira/Dukat

Odo/Kira, Ezri/Bashier (that one really irritated me, because it felt rushed, and like a sop to the fans who wanted Bashier and Jadzia to end up together), Garak/Ziyal, Quark/Ensign Ro (that one comes from the tie-in novels set after the series ended; it sucked just as much as you might think it does), Quark/Dax
17. Which character are you most like. Good question. My first instinct is to say Jake, but I'm not sure why.
18. What is my deep, dark fandom secret. This is the only show I own in its entirety on DVD. I paid entirely too much for it, and it was worth every penny.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Maybe Ron -- does fandom hate Ron? I guess it depends on the corner of fandom.
5. The character I would shag anytime: You know, I dunno. Alan Rickman, in theory, but not as Snape. The kids are too young, none of the teachers appeal all that much.
6. The character I'd want to be like: Dumbledore, except without all the crazy secrecy stuff.
7. The character I'd slap: Draco, seriously.

10. Favorite character: Tough call. Sometimes Dumbledore, sometimes Hermione, sometimes Lupin.
11. What are my five favorite things about the fandom. I've only ever watched this fandom from the fringes. Some amazing fic came out of it, some amazing meta, and some amazing Internet lore.
12. What are my five least favorite things about the fandom. It's massive, and portions of it are *insane*.
