Internets!

The new DSL modem came yesterday and so my home is once again connected to the series of tubes at a rate faster than the land speed of a sloth. It was so weird, being unable to watch videos or download pictures or really do much of anything other than chat online. How anyone still tied to dial-up manages is just beyond me. I'm so spoiled.

Anyway, it's good to have things back to normal. Or as normal as they ever get. Tonight I pack, and tomorrow evening I head out for a weekend in Vancouver. That's right, it's another BNL pilgrimage for [livejournal.com profile] luvmoose and me, and this one comes with a bonus [livejournal.com profile] cupcakemonster! I've never seen the band play in Canada, and it's been a very long time since I've been to Vancouver. So I'm getting pretty excited, despite the ice and snow that I'm sure will be waiting for me there.

You are morphing into the compleat fangirl. ;)

So glad you have the new modem up and running. Try not to bring back another cold or lose your luggage this trip. I think you have had about as much excitement as you can handle. Heh!

Morphing? Naw, she was just on a whole boatful of us who do it almost professionally. She's got a long way to go. She just drafts along in our wake.

[livejournal.com profile] luvmoose is only partially right; I have been well into fangirl territory for some years now (I think my first trip to New England in the dead of winter purely for the sake of seeing a show probably solidified it). But compared to many of my comrades on the boat, I am casual fan at best. ;)

No fear on the luggage issue -- I will check *nothing*. Air Canada will just have to live without my baggage. :)

Have fun in Vancouver! In my experience, Canadian audiences tend to stay seated during the show which can be a bit weird. Hopefully, folks won't give you a hard time if you want to stand!

I think we're front and center. I'll make pleading eyes at Ed and Steve. And then beat people back with my Ships & Dip hat. I have clout, dammit!!!

If you're in the front, no worries. Steve and Ed will be happy to see you standing and dancing and will likely tell the naysayers to shut up! :)

Yeah, the lastest entry in the BNL blog has Rob scratching his head in bewilderment about the seated audience, too. We'll just have to stand up and dance for the rest of them! :)
