Faux post

I'm not writing a real post today. I plead bad weather, bad traffic, a busy day at work, and a heavy-duty distraction in the form of a Flight Rising dom battle. I promise to get back on the stick tomorrow.

Meanwhile, have my discovery of the day: thegetty, the official Tumblr of the Getty Institute, which is delightful. Among other things, every Monday they post a detail from a piece of art and invite people to suggest what they think is happening, in a feature called #ThyCaptionBe. Occasionally the suggestions are serious, but more often they are silly fun. Worth some time and a giggle.

Not surprised that The Getty got a tumblr; it's got enough great exhibits to generate a very infinite scroll of content to look at. Even better when seeing them in real life, too (and get prints from their gift shop).

Lots of rain up north? Only dark clouds down in central coast.

Not just rain, but an honest-to-goodness THUNDERSTORM. Which as I'm sure you know we don't get very often.
