prezzies and stuff
Dec. 22nd, 2004 11:09 pmWe got our Christmas package from my brother today. Since we're going to T's family for the holiday and needed the cheer more now, we went ahead and opened our gifts. And bro comes through -- my gift was the Friends Season 2 DVDs! Exactly the TV comfort food I needed today. I immediately sat down and watched the first disc (TOW Ross's New Girlfriend through TOW The Baby on the Bus), and it was the perfect way to spend the afternoon. Since I never saw these episodes in first run, I've only ever seen the cut-for-syndication versions. So it's fun to see the little quips and occasional scene that was new to me.
It's been a weird day. Hard to describe what I'm feeling right now. Mostly I'm tired -- both from being emotionally drained and from not getting much sleep last night. The strangest little things make me sad, like coming home from grocery shopping and realizing that I don't need to sort out the plastic bags without holes (for litter box cleaning). Going back to work tomorrow is going to be strange -- hundreds of customers are going to ask me how I am, never mind chatting pleasantly with my co-workers. Bleah.
I guess I don't have much to say yet, I just wanted to write an entry so my last one wouldn't be the first thing I see every time I open LJ.
