On a completely different note (har har), I picked up this album of Sting singing Elizabethan music, mostly by composer John Dowland. It's quite nice, just voice and lute, simple but beautifully done. As I was listening to it, I was surprised to hear a familiar tune: a madrigal that I sang in high school. "Come again: Sweet love doth now invite; Thy graces that refrain, To do me due delight." I had forgotten how much I enjoyed music from this time period, especially choral. Need to seek out some more.
Also, there is a new Loreena McKennett album. Why was I not informed?
