This is time for making computers better

So my new laptop is happy. Got everything set up the way I want it on my desk last night. And I have it with me today -- I'm on the long shift today, so my long lunch may involve finding a quiet spot with some wireless. Should be fun.

Then, after getting the go-ahead from one of the tech guys a few days ago, I finally got around to installing Firefox on my work computer this morning. (They keep us pretty locked down here, software-wise -- I can't even update my version of Adobe Acrobat myself, so I had always assumed that installing Firefox was out. Wrong!) This computer was the last place I'd been a slave to IE, and now I am free. Free!

I am feeling quite positive about my relationship with technology today.
