Book review: "Un Lun Dun"

What a delightful book. Recommended, especially if you like city stories and/or kick-ass girl characters. Deeba is going down on my all-time favorites list. I love her spirit, her agency, her creative thinking. Lots of other great characters, too.

July Update; August Goals

Progress on specific goals:

1. Write at least six days per week. Yes; actually, I did even better.

2. Write and post areyougame claim. I started it, but it wasn't going where I wanted to, so I set it aside for now. Maybe in a later round.

3. Finish "Aftermath", pending beta. Yes yes hell yes. It. Is. Done.

4. Turn Dragon Age fragments into actual story. Posted two of the fragments as shorts, and it looks like the other two are merging into a monster. More on this as it progresses.

5. Outline and more on megaflare_ff story. Ehhhhh. A couple more scenes, some notes, some fragments. I'm getting a little worried, to be honest. But hopefully I can whip it into better shape in August.

Some hits, some misses, but it's all "blah blah blah Ginger" because I finished "Aftermath", and no, I won't be shutting up about that any time soon. Ahhhhh.

August goals:

1. Write at least six days per week.

2. Write and post at least one Porn Battle story. I wrote most of one story based on a PB prompt today, but since it isn't even vaguely porn I have a feeling I'd get in trouble if I tried to post it there. ;) I have a much pornier idea for the same prompt; maybe I'll post them both and call the first a companion piece.

3. Make actual, real progress on megaflare_ff.

I'd put something about the Dragon Age fic in here, but I think we all know that I'm going to work on that even without making it a goal, so let's keep it focused on things where I need a little more incentive. >.>
