Your main fandom of the year?
I'm... not really sure I had one? I wrote a little bit in all my main fandoms, but didn't get into much by way of public meta discussions or squeeing. The fact that I've essentially dropped off Tumblr probably has a lot to do with this. I haven't counted anything up yet, but my guess is that MCU got the most new stories from me this year.

Your favorite film watched this year?
This is kind of a tough call but I'm going to say Wonder Woman.

Your favorite book read this year?
Buried Heart by Kate Elliott. The final book in the Court of Fives trilogy was beautiful and sad and wrapped up the story perfectly.

Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?
A recent iTunes glitch makes it impossible for me to check the stats on this one, but one album I kept going back to was Bad Blood by Bastille.

Your favorite TV show of the year?
The Good Place -- we binged the first season and have been watching the second as it airs. Some of the most original storytelling I've ever seen on TV.

Your favorite video game of the year?
Probably Persona 5, with the caveat that we haven't finished it yet.

Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
Probably The Adventure Zone, which I spent much of this year catching up on in the same way as I spent last year getting current on Critical Role, without the epic re-listen (although I did listen to the entire Stolen Century arc a second time). I haven't been super fannish about it, though; maybe once they settle on a new campaign.

Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
I'm actually failing to come up with one, which might speak more than anything to how I've curated my fandom experience and calibrated my expectations. I suppose this most recent arc of Agents of SHIELD might qualify; it's hitting a lot of the same emotional beats as the Framework arc without being nearly as good.

Your fandom boyfriend of the year?
This is a hard one. Maybe Magnus Burnsides from The Adventure Zone: Balance?

Your fandom girlfriend of the year?
Tie between Diana Prince and Rey.

Your biggest squee moment of the year?
I mean, I don't see how it can possibly be anything other than winning a freakin' HUGO AWARD.

The most missed of your old fandoms?
Probably still Dragon Age. I need some new content for this world, stat.

The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to?
Good question. I'm much more likely to dabble in new fandoms these days (see: flash fics written for The Adventure Zone, Person of Interest, Persona 5...) and less likely to have them stick. The main thing I miss is being part of a large vibrant fandom community... but I don't miss it enough to get super active on Tumblr again. Truthfully, the fannish community I'm most active in is a closed Slack, which is fun and safe but not great for meeting people outside of my orbit. I've thought about getting involved on various Discords, but breaking into a new community that way also sounds exhausting. So I'm not sure what to do about any of it.

Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?
Black Panther (and Avengers: Infinity War, but that's both the good and bad sort of anticipation). The new Critical Role story arc. The sequel to Lock In. Three more Murderbot stories. Ocean's 8 and A Wrinkle in Time. More Jessica Jones!
