( Charts are still climbing out of the illness pit. )
Specific goals:
1. Write 6 days per week. This started out well. Then I got the flu last week and spent literally a week in bed, with no energy to write or do much of anything else. So that's been fun. I'm doing better, finally, and still trying to get back into the swing of things.
2. Write and post the fifth
ladiesbingo story. Look for another potential line, or perhaps a postage stamp (combining four prompts that form a square on the card). Success! And I completed my first line on a bingo card in several years. So that's pretty great. I decided no other prompts on the card spoke to me, so I got a card from
trope_bingo instead, which I'll post soon.
3. Complete my 2017 Media Review post, with 2018 reading goals, and post to
ladybusiness. Also work on and ideally post my Hugo nomination recommendations. Hugo recs were delayed by my illness; that post should go up next week. I ended up decoupling the reading goals discussion from my 2017 Media in Review because it would've been ridiculously long otherwise.
4. Research and outline Part 3 of Wardens of Ivalice. I didn't get a complete outline, but I wrote up a bunch of notes and added a few words.
I'm glad I got to most of my other goals before getting sick, because otherwise the month might have been a total loss creatively. I think it's a good lesson in not slacking off early, because you never know when something will send you reeling. Unfortunately, this does put me behind the pace on making my GYWO goal, but it's not a fatal blow.
Anyway, goals for February. Historically, February tends to be a down month for me, creatively speaking, and I have a week of vacation scheduled, so I want to be realistic, but I also want to catch up. So, let's try these goals on for size:
1. Write at least six days a week when not traveling.
2. Plan a line for trope bingo, write and post at least one story (I'll put up the card soon).
3. Get started on political linkspams for 2018 (despite my plans, I haven't done one yet).
4. Two substantial posts for Lady Business and/or my own journal (not counting the Hugo Recs post).
